South Korea – A Land of Tradition and Modernity
South Korea, located in East Asia, is a country that masterfully blends tradition and modernity. The capital, Seoul, is a dynamic hub featuring a mix of modern skyscrapers, historic palaces, and traditional markets. South Korea is known for its advanced technology, K-pop culture, and impressive cuisine, including dishes like Kimchi and Bibimbap. The country also offers stunning nature, from the mountains in the north to the coastal regions in the south.
There is so much to see in Gyeongju, South Korea, day and night. The Anapji ponds on the edge of the former Silla fortress Banwolseon are particularly illuminated at night and, weather permitting, the water surface beautifully reflects the imposing palace buildings.
The beach was well attended during the day but in the evening there were fantastic views of the Yellow Sea and the sun sinking into it.
