An impressive piece of street art by Norwegian Pøbel appeared in Vardø as surprisingly to us as the sculpted portrait of street artist Vhils, which was created on the house opposite.

Both works of art face each other on abandoned houses and you can feel the tension between the works of art. On one side, the towering portrait of a long-haired, bearded man appears to be looking at the father-son team across the street with a worried look. Father and son wear masks that look like combinations of plague and gas masks, indicating the ongoing destruction of nature.

Pøbel took the phenomenon of towering street art to rural areas, initially decorating abandoned buildings in Lofoten, Norway.
