Monads


 

The term "monad" originates from Leibniz's philosophy and refers to an indivisible, self-sufficient unit of existence that does not directly interact with other monads but is integrated into the universe through a pre-established harmony. In modern science, the term is sometimes applied to fundamental, non-decomposable units.
