Colonia – The Historic Gem of Uruguay
Colonia del Sacramento, or simply Colonia, is a charming city on the coast of Uruguay, known for its well-preserved colonial architecture. The city was founded in 1680 by the Portuguese and later became a contested area between the Spanish and Portuguese.
