News from the BLOG
Here you will regularly find the latest nine published blog posts. Updated older entries will also be displayed here. In addition to reports on our current developments, such as in artificial intelligence or the metaverse, we also publish timely travel reports and previously unpublished photo projects from the past.
Our focus is both on cultural topics and unique wildlife observations, which we have documented photographically. In doing so, we primarily showcase lesser-known and endemic species, such as the steamer ducks and the Rufous-Backed Hawk, both of which are native exclusively to the Falkland Islands.

From Classics to the Future: Photography, Blockchain, and the Art of Digital Heritage
In this category, we present articles on current and classic topics in holographic and photographic recording techniques, including capturing images during the Blue and Golden Hours, infrared photography, and photographing the Northern Lights. We not only showcase fascinating examples but also explain the techniques behind them, enabling enthusiasts to apply them themselves.
We leverage modern developments in blockchain technology to create certificates of authenticity for digital artworks – commonly known as NFTs (non-fungible tokens). This technology offers far more possibilities than often portrayed in the media.
With future updates to our self-developed AI, named Phi, entirely new opportunities will emerge for artists, going far beyond the typical question-and-answer scenarios of systems like Siri, Alexa, or Cortana. Phi will be capable of autonomously categorizing, evaluating, and archiving our extensive photo archive as NFTs on an appropriate blockchain. This approach can also address questions related to "digital heritage" by providing a sustainable and secure means of archiving.

Artists who have ventured into the metaverse with their artworks or plan to do so are featured in a dedicated list. If you would like to be included, please send us a brief description of your activities using our contact form.
