Gyeongju is located in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, and was the capital of the ancient Silla Kingdom (57 BC – AD 935). Often called an “open-air museum,” it is rich in temples, pagodas, palaces, and royal tombs. Major sites include Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
