Crossing the Arctic Circle in Finland is a special experience. Of course, you can also buy the certificate confirming that you have crossed the 66th parallel, but here in Rovaniemi you can visit a special attraction: Santa Claus Village.

Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland in Finland, is known as the official home of Santa Claus. Located on the Arctic Circle, this charming city attracts visitors year-round who want to experience the magic of Christmas. The Santa Claus Village offers an enchanting atmosphere with sparkling lights, reindeer, and the chance to meet Santa himself. In winter, when the landscape is blanketed in snow and the Northern Lights dance across the sky, Rovaniemi feels like a true winter fairytale. This NFT features an atmospheric image from Santa Claus Village, capturing the magical vibe and festive joy of this unique destination.

This year we even stayed here on the way back from Norway and were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the elves who greeted us at reception. Of course, the little house we rented for one night also had an outside socket for our fully electric Mustang, because people here don't just have a heart for reindeer...
