The Fisherman's Bastion is not only visited to get a beautiful view of Budapest. Rather, it is its unique architecture that was designed by Frigyes Schulek, who combined neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque elements.

The location on the city wall corresponds to the area where there was a protective bastion for the local fishing guild in the Middle Ages. This is where the name Fisherman's Bastion (Hungarian: Halászbástya) comes from. In the Middle Ages, the fish market was also located near the former protective bastion.

The photo was composed of several individual shots and shows a panorama of the interior area.
