NFT 045: The Stockholm subway in Sweden

The only subway in Sweden, the Tunnelbanan, is a very special attraction, as it is one of the largest art galleries in the world with its many works of art. The starting signal was given in 1957 with the T-Centralen competition, in which the first station was artistically designed. Works of art by around 150 artists can now be seen at 90 of the 100 stations. At seven stations, the exhibits are changed four times a year. We spent some time in the subway and found many interesting subjects. We created the ceiling installation shown here using the colorkey process.
