In Ekkerøy in the municipality of Vadsø, Norway at 70 degrees latitude, we were lucky and were able to admire the entire color spectrum of the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis last night.

The Saar loop near Saarbrücken can be photographed particularly well from the observation tower of a treetop path.

The multicolored dancing lights of the northern lights are a phenomenon which, if the KP index is high, can be recorded.

With a bit of luck and a clear sky you can see them, the northern lights over the Lyngenfjord Alps.

Photographing the northern lights at Christmas time is a wonderful project. However, good photo-technical preparation is necessary.
