We have seen the Rufous-tailed hummingbird at several locations in Panama. They dash through the blossoms so quickly that you might get dizzy. It is all the more difficult to photograph them. If you don't want to hope for the snapshot, the only motto is: patience. Once you have found a beautiful flower with a matching background, you have to set up the camera, focus and ... wait for a picky Amazilie to find the selected flower equally attractive. After two hours the time had finally come. The result is a series of successful shots of these graceful sailing birds.
